These Terms & Conditions apply to services provided by FourHandsFamily. By booking or purchasing a service, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before making a booking.
About our services
FourHandsFamily provides coaching and support services for individuals, teenagers and families. Our services are intended to offer practical, supportive guidance and are not a substitute for medical, psychiatric or other regulated healthcare where such treatment is required.
Booking and payment
Bookings are made online. Payment for the First Conversation is currently £49 and is processed securely through Stripe. After successful payment, you will be directed to choose an available appointment time.
A booking is only confirmed once payment has been completed and the appointment has been scheduled.
Appointment times
Appointments are offered subject to availability. You are responsible for selecting the correct date, time and time zone when making your booking.
Online appointments are currently provided via Zoom. You are responsible for ensuring that you have a suitable internet connection and device to participate.
Rescheduling and cancellations
If you need to reschedule your appointment, please contact us as early as possible.
Where possible, we ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to change your appointment.
Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by this policy. Any cancellation charge or deduction from a refund will only be applied where permitted by law and will be reasonable in relation to any actual loss incurred.
Consumer cancellation rights
If you are a consumer booking online, you may have a legal right to cancel your contract within 14 days of entering into it.
If you ask us to provide a service during this 14-day cancellation period, you may be required to pay for the proportion of the service already provided if you later cancel, where permitted by law.
If the service has been fully performed during the cancellation period following your express request and acknowledgement, your statutory right to cancel may end once the service has been fully provided.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
First Conversation credit
If you purchase an eligible FourHandsFamily support package after your First Conversation, the £49 paid for the First Conversation may be credited towards that package where this is stated as part of the offer at the time of booking.
The credit has no separate cash value and does not create an entitlement to purchase any particular package.
Suitability of services
FourHandsFamily aims to provide supportive coaching and practical guidance. We may decide that our services are not appropriate for a particular situation.
Where appropriate, we may suggest that you seek support from a GP, mental health professional, emergency service or another suitably qualified professional.
FourHandsFamily does not provide emergency or crisis services.
Emergencies
If you or someone else is in immediate danger or requires urgent medical or mental health assistance, please contact the appropriate emergency or healthcare service rather than relying on FourHandsFamily communications.
Client responsibility
Coaching and support involve collaboration. You remain responsible for your own decisions, actions and choices.
We cannot guarantee any particular result or outcome from a conversation, coaching session or support package.
Teenagers and children
Where services involve a person under the age of 18, appropriate arrangements regarding parental or guardian involvement, consent and confidentiality may be discussed before support begins.
The precise arrangements may depend on the age of the young person, the nature of the support and the circumstances involved.
Confidentiality
Information shared during our work together will normally be treated confidentially.
There may be circumstances in which information needs to be disclosed where required by law or where there is a serious safeguarding concern or risk of significant harm. Where appropriate and lawful, we will aim to discuss this with you.
Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, materials provided by FourHandsFamily, including worksheets, written resources, exercises, course materials and other original content, remain the intellectual property of FourHandsFamily.
They are provided for your personal use and must not be copied, reproduced, sold, distributed or used commercially without permission.
Technical problems
We are not responsible for interruptions caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including internet outages, platform failures or technical problems affecting third-party services.
If a technical problem prevents an appointment from taking place, we will make reasonable efforts to rearrange the appointment.
Changes to appointments by FourHandsFamily
In exceptional circumstances, we may need to reschedule or cancel an appointment.
If we cancel an appointment and cannot provide a suitable alternative, you will be entitled to an appropriate refund for the service that was not provided.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
Subject to applicable law, FourHandsFamily is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was entered into or for losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version that applies to your booking will normally be the version available when you make your purchase.
Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of the United Kingdom, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you based on where you live.
